The Nurse Practitioner - Advance Practice is responsible for providing nursing care services to residents/clients as assigned. This role involves making advanced observations, forming nursing judgments, and carrying out nursing actions based on scientific principles. The Nurse Practitioner will conduct physical exams, manage medical problems, order and interpret tests, prescribe treatments, and provide health education and counseling. They will manage client care, develop treatment plans, monitor progress, and determine the need for referrals or hospital admissions. The role also includes assessing social/economic factors, connecting clients with community resources, and making client home visits. The Nurse Practitioner will participate in developing health education materials and clinical practice guidelines, obtain informed consent, and accept after-hours calls on a rotating schedule. Expectations include maintaining a positive and professional manner, efficient time management, collaboration, and adherence to all organizational policies and procedures, including those related to resident rights, corporate compliance, and safety.
