About The Position

Spark Lifecare is seeking clinically strong, driven, and business-minded Nurse Practitioners to provide services across Nova Scotia. Our clients are individuals seeking nurse practitioner support in the form of in-home assessments and follow-ups, particularly after experiences such as acute illness/injury, trauma, complex medical diagnoses, or surgeries. The role involves guiding client recovery through physical exams, providing diagnoses, and issuing requisitions for diagnostics as appropriate, especially in settings where clients may not readily access these supports outside of a hospital. Requirements

  • Nurse Practitioner (NP) registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing
  • Valid BLS/CPR Level C certification
  • Smartphone with a data plan
  • Proof of Professional Liability Insurance
  • Experience working with individuals in the community

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-home assessments and follow-ups for clients.
  • Guide client recovery through physical exams.
  • Provide diagnoses.
  • Issue requisitions for diagnostics as appropriate.
  • Advise patients and their families on health care needs, including health promotion, disease, illness, and accident prevention.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary health team (therapists, caregivers, case managers) to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and their families.
