About The Position

Provide in-house coverage for the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) and pediatric patients in a hospital setting. Care for patients ages 0–18, including neonates, children, and adolescents, with a daily volume of 7–15 patients. The case mix includes pediatric trauma, neurosurgery, and general pediatrics. The facility is an adult Level 1 Trauma Center and uses Cerner. Coverage is clinical only and is scheduled from November 2, 2026, through February 1, 2027.

Requirements

• Experience and ability to perform intubations.
• Experience and ability to place central lines.
• Experience and ability to place arterial lines.
• Experience and ability to perform lumbar punctures.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-house coverage for PICU and pediatric patients.
• Perform intubations, central line placements, arterial line placements, and lumbar punctures.
• Manage pediatric trauma patients, including neurosurgery cases.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a Level 1 trauma center.
• Provide care for patients aged 0–18 years in PICU and general pediatrics.
