About The Position

HealthDrive is currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP/APRN) to work Part-Time (2-3 days/week) in nursing facilities across the Chelsea, MA area. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited college/university
  • State Professional Nurse Practitioner license
  • Board Certification required
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work independently on a daily basis
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to use email, the internet, and to learn other healthcare related software

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychiatric med-management services to residents in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long-term care facilities within an assigned territory.
  • Monitor psychiatric medications for effectiveness, resident response, and side effects.
  • Inform residents of potential side effects of psychiatric medications.
  • Recommend the initiation of any psychiatric medication deemed appropriate.
  • Complete AIMS testing every three months on residents receiving antipsychotic medication.
  • Monitor tapering of psychiatric medications according to federal regulations.
  • Recommend behavioral interventions to nursing staff.
  • Develop behavior plans as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Requires daily travel to skilled nursing facilities as part of a mobile model treatment approach.
