About The Position

HealthDrive is currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP/APRN) to work Part-Time (2-3 days/week) in nursing facilities across the Chelsea, MA area. Requirements

Master’s Degree from an accredited college/university
State Professional Nurse Practitioner license
Board Certification required
Valid driver’s license
Ability to work independently on a daily basis
Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to use email, the internet, and to learn other healthcare related software

Responsibilities

Provide psychiatric med-management services to residents in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long-term care facilities within an assigned territory.
Monitor psychiatric medications for effectiveness, resident response, and side effects.
Inform residents of potential side effects of psychiatric medications.
Recommend the initiation of any psychiatric medication deemed appropriate.
Complete AIMS testing every three months on residents receiving antipsychotic medication.
Monitor tapering of psychiatric medications according to federal regulations.
Recommend behavioral interventions to nursing staff.
Develop behavior plans as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requires daily travel to skilled nursing facilities as part of a mobile model treatment approach.
