About The Position

SynapseTBI provides specialized diagnostic and treatment services for patients with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (mTBI), Post-Concussion Syndrome, and associated pain conditions. We offer neurological consultations, comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, individualized treatment planning, interventional and non-interventional pain management, neuro-rehabilitation coordination, and multidisciplinary care to support patients throughout their recovery journey. We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team in Nashville, Tennessee. This position combines in-clinic patient care with remote responsibilities, allowing providers to deliver comprehensive care across multiple settings. The Nurse Practitioner will work closely with physicians to evaluate patients with traumatic brain injury, concussion, headache disorders, cervical and musculoskeletal pain, and other neurologic conditions. The provider will assist with treatment planning, monitor clinical progress, coordinate multidisciplinary care, and help deliver high-quality, patient-centered neurological and pain management services.

Requirements

Active Nurse Practitioner license in Tennessee.
Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and effectively manage responsibilities in both remote and clinical environments.
Comfortable utilizing telehealth platforms and electronic medical record systems.
CPR/BLS certification required.

Nice To Haves

Experience in neurology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, pain management, orthopedics, concussion care, or TBI-related care preferred.
Experience managing patients with musculoskeletal pain, headache disorders, or spine conditions is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Conduct patient evaluations, assessments, and follow-up visits in both clinic and telehealth settings.
Evaluate patients with traumatic brain injury, post-concussion syndrome, headaches, neck pain, back pain, and other neurologic or musculoskeletal conditions.
Review patient history, symptoms, imaging, diagnostic studies, and treatment progress.
Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans under physician supervision as applicable.
Participate in medication management and conservative pain management strategies within scope of practice.
Assist with interventional pain management procedures, including patient preparation, follow-up care, and post-procedure evaluations as appropriate.
Coordinate referrals for physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, behavioral health, pain management, and other specialty services.
Document patient encounters accurately and thoroughly within the EMR system.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and clinical staff regarding patient care and coordination.
Monitor patient progress and communicate recommendations as needed.
Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, pain management strategies, and recovery expectations.
Assist with in-clinic procedures, therapies, and treatments as appropriate.
Ensure compliance with clinic protocols, healthcare regulations, and safety standards.
Support daily clinic workflow and operational efficiency.
