About The Position

Join an established behavioral health program providing detoxification, residential substance use treatment, and residential mental health services for adults with complex psychiatric and addiction-related needs. We're seeking a Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP preferred, FNP considered) to provide medical and psychiatric care across our 64-bed behavioral health campus. Working alongside an experienced Medical Director and multidisciplinary treatment team, you'll treat patients with substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health conditions, and complex medical needs while helping individuals build a foundation for lasting recovery. Requirements

Active Pennsylvania Nurse Practitioner license
Current PMHNP or FNP certification
DEA registration
Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program
Minimum one (1) year of Nurse Practitioner experience
Knowledge of ASAM criteria and levels of care

Nice To Haves

PMHNP certification
Experience working with adults in detoxification, residential treatment, inpatient psychiatry, addiction medicine, or other behavioral health settings is strongly preferred
Experience treating patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
Familiarity with medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and psychiatric medication management

Responsibilities

Manage a diverse caseload of patients with substance use disorders, co-occurring psychiatric conditions, and complex medical presentations.
Practice within an integrated care model alongside physicians, therapists, nurses, and behavioral health professionals.
Utilize evidence-based approaches, including medication-assisted treatment (MAT), psychiatric medication management, and recovery-focused care.
Influence treatment planning and clinical decision-making while practicing with a high degree of autonomy and physician support.
Expand your expertise in addiction medicine, psychiatry, and residential behavioral healthcare within a growing national organization.
Conduct comprehensive medical, psychiatric, and substance use assessments, including history, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
Diagnose and treat substance use disorders, co-occurring psychiatric conditions, and common medical comorbidities.
Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical best practices.
Prescribe and manage medications, including psychiatric medications and medication-assisted treatment (MAT), in accordance with approved protocols.
Review laboratory results, monitor patient progress, and coordinate referrals or specialty consultations as needed.
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, and other members of the multidisciplinary treatment team to provide integrated care.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment recommendations, medications, recovery, and wellness.
Participate in treatment team meetings, utilization review activities, and level-of-care determinations.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and infection control standards.
