About The Position
Sheridan Community Hospital is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to support our Wound Clinic on a PRN basis. This is a great opportunity for experienced providers, local clinicians, or those seeking supplemental work while making a meaningful impact in a rural community. The Nurse Practitioner provides specialized wound care services in an outpatient clinic setting, managing acute and chronic wounds while working collaboratively with a supervising physician. This role offers clinical autonomy and the ability to make a direct impact on patient healing and recovery.
Requirements
- Master’s or Doctoral degree as a Nurse Practitioner
- Current Michigan NP license with prescriptive authority
- Current national certification
- Basic Life Support certification (AHA)
- Ability to work independently in a rural clinical setting
Nice To Haves
- 2 or more years of NP experience preferred
- Experience in wound care or chronic disease management preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments for wound care cases
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic wounds
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe medications within scope and protocols
- Collaborate with supervising providers and care teams
- Educate patients and caregivers to improve healing outcomes
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance
- Participate in quality improvement and clinical initiatives
