About The Position

Recruit Secure is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and caring RN Nurse Practitioner with expertise in Wound Care for direct hire. The organization provides Nurse Practitioners to Skilled Nursing homes in the Pittsburgh - Kittanning, PA area to work with the facility's nursing team to improve quality care and reduce re-hospitalizations. The Nurse Practitioner will lead a Wound Prevention Program in the facility, responsible for screening new admissions, assessments and risks, and implementing precautionary measures. The Nurse Practitioner will be supporting 1 facility and will work approximately 1-2 days per week. The schedules offer some flexibility. This is a part-time position with potential for growth in the future. The company provides a high level of support, including ongoing Physician collaboration and dedicated Scribes for documentation.

Requirements

• PA Licensed Nurse Practitioner
• At least 1-2+ years’ experience in the care and treatment of wounds
• In-depth understanding of Wound Care protocols and treatments
• Basic Computer skills and experience with EMR software
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with Nursing teams

Nice To Haves

• Wound Care certifications
• Experience in Skilled Nursing Homes

Responsibilities

• Work with the facility's nursing team to improve quality care and reduce re-hospitalizations.
• Lead a Wound Prevention Program in the facility.
• Screen new admissions, conduct assessments, and identify risks.
• Implement precautionary measures for wound prevention.
• Train Nursing teams on policies and protocols for the prevention and care of wounds.
