About The Position

We are searching for a Nurse Practitioner -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will work under the supervision of the site physician(s) and work collaboratively with other members of the health care team to render age-appropriate care. Practicing under established protocols, the NP assumes independent responsibilities in the assessment, diagnosis, and initiation of treatment and procedures. This APP will float from The Woodlands, Kingwood and Vintage urgent care locations. This is a 30 hour per week position.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in nursing required
• RN license from the Texas Board of Nursing or Nursing licensure Compact required
• FNP certification from the Texas Board of Nursing required
• BLS or PALS certification from the American Heart Association required

Responsibilities

• Works independently to assess, diagnose, treat, and educate patients, consulting with physician as needed
• Documents information in patient’s chart regarding assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and education
• Provides verbal and/or written information regarding treatment regimens in language that is understandable and appropriate for the patient and/or caregiver
• Records diagnosis/CPT in an accurate, timely manner to ensure prompt posting of charges per site protocol
• Participates in site meetings and provides input to address patient care issues or operational concerns
