Insight is seeking a proactive, patient centric and empathetic Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team of medical professionals to support our Urgent Care in providing patient care second to none! Our Nurse Practitioner role directly supports the Urgent Care clinic located in Flint, MI as a contingent/PRN Nurse Practitioner, supporting both the staff and patient case load to help ensure proper coverage from the times of 8am - 8pm. This is a growing business unit, therefore Nurse Practitioners who are flexible and dedicated to driving an impact to both the team and patients is desired.

Requirements

• Demonstrates eligibility to work for any employer in the U.S.
• Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program
• RN licensure in the state where employed or a compact party state and board-certified by either ANCC or AANP
• APN authorization in the state where employed to practice in family health by the Board of Nurse Examiners
• Prescriptive authorization
• Proficiency with medical instruments and equipment required to perform your work
• Knowledge of computer-based data management programs and information systems, as well as medical records and point-of-interview technology
• A sound understanding of all pertinent federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of disease prevention
• Able to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment while maintaining positive energy
• Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for professional advancement
• Able to work compassionately with patients and coworkers to exhibit patient care second to none
• Demonstrates enthusiasm and drive

Responsibilities

• Interview and examine patients to determine a diagnosis
• Performing physical exams and patient observations
• Consulting with healthcare professionals and families
• Order tests to ascertain the nature and extent of illnesses and injuries
• Administering and analyzing diagnostic tests
• Monitoring and operating medical equipment
• Diagnosing health issues
• Recording patients' medical histories and symptoms
• Maintain patient records and provide documentation for insurance companies
• Detects changes in patients' health
• Training patients and their families to manage and prevent illness and injury
• Other duties as assigned
