Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is hiring a Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner (full-time, remote from home) to join the Virtual Express Care - Behavioral Health team. This position is credentialed through NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln . Virtual Express Care - Behavioral Health is a virtual on‑demand behavioral health service embedded within a broader virtual urgent/express care model. Opportunity Details: Provide direct patient care for Virtual ExpressCare Behavioral Health service with an Urgent Care scope of practice. Patient care will be conducted through audio-visual and audio-only mediums. Demonstrate advanced knowledge in treating mental health conditions and substance use disorders (SUD) in assessing patients/families in need of behavioral health treatment, including mental health and substance use assessment and treatment including medication management such as Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), mental status examination, diagnostic evaluation, and management of mental health and SUDs utilizing harm reduction and motivational interviewing techniques. Demonstrate crisis intervention techniques, including emergency crisis management and verbal de-escalation techniques. Document and file findings, interventions, and plans in the patient Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Assist to improve care delivery through the participation in performance improvement (PI) and quality improvement (QI) projects. Attend and participate in staff meetings, facility-wide projects, in-services, and trainings.
