About The Position

This is a 12-month paid fellowship designed for newly certified and licensed Nurse Practitioners (NPs) (18 months or less experience). The program provides mentored clinical time and dedicated learning opportunities, allowing the NP Fellow to gain broad exposure to primary and integrated mental health care. Activities include skills training, didactic seminars, supervised and independent clinical practice, interprofessional education and collaboration, professional development, and leadership enhancement. This one-year fellowship is a full-time trainee position at UNMC, aimed at NP graduates who wish to practice in rural and underserved areas of Nebraska.

Requirements

• Newly certified and licensed NP (18 months or less experience).

• 1 year of experience.
