About The Position

Provides primary care to patients of the Senior Behavioral Health Unit during regular working hours. Communicates with supervising physician when questions arise regarding patient care. Maintains operational standards of the Unit. Responsible for participation in utilization review and quality assurance.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
• Certification by Nationally Recognized Certifying Body
• State License specific to Psychiatric Nursing
• Ability to think and work effectively under stress with frequent interruptions
• Ability to move, sit, stand, walk and bend intermittently throughout the work day
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
• Must possess sight and hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these sources to function adequately
• Use of mechanical and technical equipment required for the responsibilities assigned
• Position has an expected exposure to blood borne pathogens.
