About The Position

Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center is excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a new Nurse Practitioner through our 12-month Nurse Practitioner Residency Program. This structured program is designed for recent graduates who have completed an accredited nurse practitioner program within the past 18 months and have not yet been employed in a provider role. As a Nurse Practitioner Resident, you will gain real-world experience in a supportive, mission-driven environment while building the skills and confidence needed for a successful career. The Nurse Practitioner Resident will provide primary care in collaboration with physicians, advanced practice providers, and a multidisciplinary healthcare team. During the program, you will participate in: Precepted clinic sessions to build skills under the guidance of experienced providers Mentored clinic sessions to develop autonomy with ongoing support Specialty clinic rotations to gain exposure to a wide range of patient care settings Didactic sessions focused on clinical, operational, and professional development. By the end of the 12 months, the Nurse Practitioner Resident will progress from novice to managing a full panel of patients while strengthening expertise in disease prevention, health promotion, and chronic disease management.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited graduate nurse practitioner program within the past 18 months.
  • Successful completion of board certification by July 15, 2026.
  • No prior employment as a nurse practitioner.

Responsibilities
