Nurse Practitioner - Pulmonary Care - P/T or F/T
About The Position
Recruit Secure is collaborating with a for-profit Healthcare organization seeking experienced, dynamic, and caring Nurse Practitioners (NP, or PA, or MD) with expertise in Pulmonology for direct hire. The company provides Nurse Practitioners to Skilled Nursing homes, Assisted Living Facilities, and Adult Homes in the Brooklyn, Queens, Nassau County area to work with the facility's nursing team to improve the quality of care and reduce rehospitalizations. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for assessments, diagnostics, and treatments related to pulmonary disorders. The position can be full-time or part-time on a 1099 basis. The NP will support 1 or 2-3 facilities (geographically clustered) and will take about 1, 2-3 days of work for P/T or 5 days for F/T. The schedules have some flexibility. The company provides a high level of clinical support (e.g., ongoing Physician collaboration).
Requirements
- Current NY State RN license
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner
- Current DEA license
- Medicaid certification
- At least 2+ years’ experience in the care and treatment of Pulmonary disorders
- In-depth understanding of Pulmonary protocols and treatments, e.g., ventilators, pneumonia, COPD, asthma, etc.
- Experience working in Skilled Nursing Homes, Assisted Living, or Adult Homes
- Experience with EMR software
- Excellent patient management and communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience with "Practice Fusion" EMR software
