About The Position

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an excellent opportunity for a civilian Nurse Practitioner - Perioperative/Patient Care Coordinator - at Naval Medical Center San Diego in California. The position offers an outstanding work/life balance with services provided Monday through Friday, between 0630 – 1500 hours, consisting of 8-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch break. The role involves both outpatient and inpatient environments. Requirements

  • Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
  • Minimum of 5 years of advanced practice provider experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in a surgical or procedural subspecialty
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex perioperative patients in inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Experience coordinating care for multidisciplinary and high-acuity patient populations
  • Proficiency in ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies
  • Proficiency in prescribing medications per institutional policy
  • Experience in care coordination, case management, or clinical program support
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate closely with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience overseeing or mentoring clinical support staff and contributing to efficient clinic operations
  • Graduate from an academic program, within the nursing specialty field of study that is accredited by a regional or national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
  • Possess a current, active, valid, and unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in any U.S. jurisdiction
  • DEA registration
  • BLS certification

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a surgical or procedural subspecialty such as maxillofacial surgery, ENT, plastic surgery, trauma, head and neck oncology
