Central City Health (CCH) has been serving the under-housed and at-risk population in metro Detroit since 1972, by providing integrated healthcare services. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing and a master’s degree in nursing required.
  • Valid Michigan licensure as a Certified Nurse Practitioner and a valid State of Michigan license as a Registered Nurse required.
  • Certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and be eligible for appropriate credentialing within 60 days of hire or transfer.
  • Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Must meet all Continuing Education requirements.
  • MAT Prescriber: 2 years (Required).
  • Substance Use Disorder: 2 years (Required).
  • BLS Certification (Required).
  • Michigan Certified Nurse Practitioner (Required).

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum two (2) years of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner experience preferred; preferably in Community Mental Health or FQHC setting preferred.
  • Experience working with patients exhibiting severe and persistent mental illness preferred.
  • ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Able to work cooperatively with staff and others in the delivery of service to patients.
  • Must be comfortable with community outreach and working with patients exhibiting severe and persistent mental illness.
