About The Position

Brattleboro Family Medicine is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (APRN) to deliver comprehensive outpatient primary care services. The ideal candidate will work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary medical group, contributing to a patient-centered care model.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited Adult Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current Vermont APRN License (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Certification as an Adult, Family, or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner through a national organization recognized by the Vermont Board of Nursing.
  • Current Healthcare Provider CPR Certification.
  • DEA License with eligibility for Medical Staff credentialing.
  • Minimum of two years of nursing experience prior to obtaining an advanced degree.
  • Clean malpractice history.
  • Must provide a recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days).

Nice To Haves

  • Certification as an Adult, Family, or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from a national organization recognized by the Vermont State Board of Nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Independently execute medical procedures in line with APRN licensure regulations within the outpatient primary care framework.
  • Provide holistic nursing and medical care to individuals, families, and community groups, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention.
  • Assume a leadership role within the healthcare team, offering consultation and guidance on best practices.
  • Collaborate effectively with patients, families, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Recognize and address the specialized educational needs of patients and their families, fostering informed healthcare decisions.
  • Maintain a safe, efficient clinical environment for both patients and staff, optimizing operational costs.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and pursue ongoing education opportunities.
  • Assess personal learning needs proactively and set objectives for professional advancement.
  • Work within a diverse group encompassing various specialties, including family practice, pediatrics, OB/GYN, cardiology, orthopedics, post-acute care, urology, and general surgery.
  • Collaborate with physicians, licensed providers, LPNs/medical assistants, and administrative staff to ensure seamless care delivery.
