About The Position

Locumsmart is seeking Nurse Practitioners (NP) or Physician Assistants (PA) for locum tenens coverage at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center ED in Poplar Bluff, MO. This is an inpatient assignment in the Emergency Department, requiring coverage for all shifts (7a-7p, 10a-10p, 7p-7a). The provider will manage approximately 24 patients per shift and will not be on call. Coverage is needed starting November 1, 2026, and is ongoing. The estimated timeframe for credentialing is 120 days. The EMR system used is Cerner.

Requirements

• Board Certification - NCCPA, ANCCA, or AANP.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS & NRP certifications through either American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Willingness to work all shifts.
• Provider must be 90 miles from the facility.
• Must be contracted with the agency prior to placing a bid.
• CAQH Questionnaire must be completed.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage for all shifts: 7a-7p, 10a-10p, 7p-7a.
• Manage approximately 24 patients per shift.
• Work in an inpatient setting within the Emergency Department.
• Complete all required credentialing and enrollment prior to the start date.
