Requirements

• BSN and successful completion of advanced practitioner training and certification as a practitioner (general or specialized) from an approved nurse practitioner program.
• Current state registered nurse license; current state license as an advanced registered nurse practitioner with prescriptive authority; Current CPR certification.
• Keyboarding and internet skills, ability to work with electronic medical records, webpages and patient portal.

• MSN
• Minimum three years of professional nursing experience in a clinic setting, plus two years of nurse practitioner experience.
• Compassionate, thorough, focuses and detail oriented.
• Able to recognize, analyze and prioritize problems.
• Preference for dealing with people who are ill and need help.
• Displays an outgoing, warm and helpful attitude.
• Tact to deal effectively with patients, guests, co- workers and physicians.
• Able to communicate clearly with patients over the telephone and in person.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing advanced nursing care and treatment to patients under the supervision of a physician.
• Performs physical examinations, orders diagnostic tests, develops treatment plans, and prescribes drugs or other therapies.
