About The Position

ImageCare is looking for a full time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our Jefferson office. The schedule we are looking to fill is Saturday 8:00am-4:00pm. All new hires are required to attend first-day orientation at our Mount Olive office before reporting to their assigned work location or training site. The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will assist the Physician, Anesthesiologist, or Technologist in providing quality, professional, and knowledgeable medical care to their patients.

Requirements

• NCCPA Certification (Required, if applicable)
• NJ State License: Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (Required)
• BLS Certification (Required)
• ACLS Certification (Required)
• Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Nice To Haves

• PALS Certification (Preferred)
• DEA Registration & Controlled Substance Registration Certificate (Preferred, but not required)

Responsibilities

• Triage patients and prepare them for exam.
• Organize and research patient records as needed for daily patient schedule.
• Treat and care for patients within scope of state medical guideline.
• Assist Technologist with patient care, treatment and education.
• Assist Technologist with any adverse reactions a patient might experience with contrast injections (Shortness of breath, Rash).
• Document in patients' medical record as needed with regards to treatment and progress notes.
• Perform diagnostic procedures as trained and administer injections.
• Pre and post procedure teaching.
• Assist the physician with surgical procedures.
• Return patients’ phone calls when applicable.
• Order supplies for exam rooms and ensure that exam rooms are ready for patients.
• Address patients’ needs and questions as they arise in a professional and courteous manner.
• Assist with The Breast Center Navigation system with regards to patient follow up, calling referring Physicians as needed.
• Adheres to the strict guidelines outlined by the AMA regarding safe handling of narcotic medications.
• Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
