Nurse Practitioner - Physician Assistant / Cardiovascular Medicine
About The Position
Henry Ford Health is hiring a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for its Cardiovascular Medicine practice. The role combines inpatient and outpatient cardiology care, including rounding on inpatient cases and leading outpatient clinics three days per week. Outpatient clinics typically involve managing 10–12 follow-up patients. The position includes reviewing diagnostic imaging, interpreting ECGs, tracking patient results, and supporting cardiac clearance and continuity of care. The clinician will contribute to reducing hospital readmissions and work across inpatient acute care and outpatient preventive and long-term cardiology. The practice team includes nine cardiologists across four locations. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with hospital coverage one weekend per month and a compensatory day. There are no call responsibilities.
Requirements
- Current state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
- Demonstrated competency in acute care and chronic disease management.
Nice To Haves
- Cardiology clinical experience.
- Proficiency in ECG interpretation and diagnostic imaging review.
- Strong pharmacological knowledge.
Responsibilities
