About The Position
We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team in Richland, WA. In this role, you will perform one-time, non-treatment Compensation and Pension (C&P) exams and Disability Assessments for Veterans. This position focuses purely on reviewing medical history and documenting findings, with no treatment planning or prescribing required. You will capture exam responses and complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and Medical Opinions (MOs) through a web-based portal. This is an in-person role where you will serve Veterans directly in our Richland clinic location.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted State Medical License.
- Strong computer proficiency (EMR platforms, MS Office Suite).
- Excellent critical thinking skills.
- Professional communication skills.
- Compassionate, highly organized, and committed to providing respectful, quality service to all Veterans.
Nice To Haves
- Prior clinical setting experience.
- Prior VA or C&P examination experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform one-time, non-treatment Compensation and Pension (C&P) exams and Disability Assessments for Veterans.
- Review pertinent medical records, service history, and previous exam documentation.
- Conduct focused bodily system evaluations and explain the exam process clearly to Veterans.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed (e.g., labs, spirometry, ECGs).
- Complete electronic charting accurately within 24–48 hours of the appointment.
- Capture exam responses and complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and Medical Opinions (MOs) through a web-based portal.
