About The Position

Piedmont Healthcare is recruiting for an advanced practice provider to join a well-established Neurosurgical practice at Piedmont Atlanta. This role involves assisting with hospital rounds, surgical support, and comprehensive patient care in an ambulatory setting. The provider will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients, developing care plans, and managing potential complications. A key part of the role includes completing pre-operative appointments and ensuring all necessary pre-surgical requirements are met.

Requirements

• Masters, Bachelors Degree from an Accredited PA program and National Board Certification

Nice To Haves

• 3-5 years of Neurosurgical experience with a high degree of clinical judgment

Responsibilities

• Assist with hospital rounds, and surgical support.
• Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations and record data in patient’s medical record in ambulatory practice.
• Evaluate and treat patients to achieve optimal patient care.
• Write progress notes; prepare patient work-ups and summaries noting pertinent positive and negative findings.
• Develop plans of care that minimize complications and successfully troubleshoot problems when they arise.
• Apply preventative and alternative treatment strategies for possible procedural complications.
• Complete pre-op appointments for all surgical patients, work with supervising physician to ensure all required labs, clearances and testing is satisfactorily complete well before surgery.
