Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (Urology) - Phoenix, AZ
About The Position
We are seeking a motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing urology practice serving patients throughout the Phoenix and West Valley. This unique role combines outpatient clinic care with hospital-based experience, giving you the opportunity to expand your clinical knowledge, develop procedural skills, and work alongside experienced urologists in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Whether you're an experienced APP or a new graduate eager to specialize, you'll receive mentorship, procedural training, and the support needed to succeed. As a Urology Advanced Practice Provider, you'll partner with board-certified urologists to provide comprehensive care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. You'll evaluate patients, assist with procedures, perform hospital rounds, manage common urologic conditions, and help coordinate care throughout the patient journey. This position is ideal for providers who enjoy variety, procedural medicine, and working closely with physicians in a specialty practice.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Active Arizona Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license (or eligibility to obtain)
- DEA registration or ability to obtain prior to start
- NP/PA Program Graduated in USA (Not Puerto Rico)
- Active or eligible Arizona NP or PA license
- DEA license or ability to obtain

Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patients with a wide range of urologic conditions in clinic and hospital settings
- Perform in-office urologic procedures with physician mentorship and training
- Administer intravesical therapies and assist with bladder treatment protocols
- Perform catheter placement, exchanges, troubleshooting, and ongoing catheter management
- Assist physicians during surgical procedures as needed
- Conduct inpatient rounds and coordinate care during assigned call rotations
- Respond to patient phone calls during scheduled call coverage
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and post-procedure care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, hospital staff, and referring providers to deliver exceptional patient care
