About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate, motivated Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our growing outpatient pulmonary practice in Prescott, Arizona. You'll work alongside experienced pulmonologists and a dedicated clinical team, providing comprehensive care to patients with a wide range of respiratory conditions. With a four-day workweek, no call, no weekends, and opportunities to expand your clinical skills, this role offers an exceptional balance of professional growth and personal time. As a Pulmonary Advanced Practice Provider, you'll provide comprehensive outpatient care for patients with acute and chronic pulmonary conditions. Working closely with board-certified pulmonologists, you'll evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, interpret diagnostic testing, educate patients on disease management, and help improve long-term respiratory health. This role is ideal for providers who enjoy developing long-term patient relationships while practicing evidence-based medicine in a collaborative specialty setting.

Requirements

  • Active Arizona Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license (or ability to obtain before start)
  • National certification (ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA)
  • Active DEA registration
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional patient care
  • Interested in pulmonary and respiratory medicine

Nice To Haves

  • Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP)
  • Previous experience in pulmonology, internal medicine, critical care, or hospital medicine
  • New graduates with strong pulmonary, internal medicine, or critical care clinical rotations are encouraged to apply
  • Pulmonology, internal medicine, or critical care experience

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with pulmonary conditions, including asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary nodules, and other respiratory disorders
  • Order, interpret, and review laboratory studies, imaging, and pulmonary diagnostic testing
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and prescribe appropriate medications
  • Educate patients on disease management, medications, smoking cessation, and lifestyle modifications
  • Monitor treatment response and coordinate ongoing follow-up care
  • Collaborate with pulmonologists, Advanced Practice Providers, respiratory therapists, and clinical staff
  • Participate in pulmonary rehabilitation, weight management, and other specialty clinic programs
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using AthenaOne EMR
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care focused on improving long-term respiratory health
