About The Position

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our ambulatory care team by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients. We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner OR Physician Assistant to conduct psychiatric assessments of pediatric patients with acute and chronic mental illness in an inpatient and outpatient setting. You will assess the patient’s psychosocial, cognitive, developmental and medical status and identify functional assets and limitations of both the patient and family system. You will see patients and family members as needed for new and follow-up psychiatric care including medications and psychotherapy. You will be responsible for assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, education, health promotion and care coordination for patients and families with acute and chronic health needs.

Requirements

State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure
Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice (if Nurse Practitioner)
Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice (e.g., Psychiatric-Mental Health) (if Nurse Practitioner)
Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice (if Physician Assistant)
Active PA board certification (if Physician Assistant)
Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire

Responsibilities

Conduct psychiatric assessments of pediatric patients with acute and chronic mental illness in an inpatient and outpatient setting.
