About The Position

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant provides medical care in collaboration with a supervising physician within a Neurology practice. This Advanced Practice Provider maintains an independent clinic schedule. The role includes participation in a rotating call schedule and offers eligibility for a monthly productivity-based bonus. Our ideal candidate has prior experience in Neurology and is confident managing complex neurological conditions. They are compassionate, detail-oriented, and thrive in both clinic and hospital settings. Requirements

  • Current Arizona Physician Assistant license with NCCPA certification
  • National certification as approved by the Arizona APRN Board (for Nurse Practitioners)
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program (BA/BS required, MS preferred) OR accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • CPR and ACLS certification
  • Experience as a Neurology PA or NP
  • NP/PA Program Completed in the USA (Not Puerto Rico)
  • Arizona NP/PA License
  • Experience as a Neurology PA or NP

Nice To Haves

  • MS preferred (for PA program)
  • Cover Letter and references are preferred but optional.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient health status, wellness, and compliance with treatment plans to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
  • Provide acute and chronic neurological care including patient histories, physical examinations, monitoring therapies, administering medications and injections, and performing minor procedures
  • Triage patient calls and evaluate concerns both in person and via phone
  • Respond to medical emergencies, including the use of CPR
  • Accurately document patient encounters, treatment plans, and outcomes in the medical record
  • Educate patients and families and ensure continuity of care
  • Participate in hospital rounds and respond to after-hours and weekend calls as scheduled
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality
