About The Position

Join a collaborative neonatal practice committed to clinical excellence, mentorship, and exceptional patient outcomes. You'll work alongside experienced Neonatologists and Advanced Practice Providers who foster teamwork, professional development, and evidence-based care. Providers care for neonatal patients across Level II and Level III NICUs, exercising clinical autonomy while collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality family-centered care. This practice welcomes new graduate Neonatal Nurse Practitioners as well as experienced providers. Whether you're beginning your neonatal career or bringing years of NICU experience, you'll receive support from an experienced APP leadership team committed to your professional growth and success. In addition to direct patient care, providers are encouraged to participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical education, protocol development, and leadership opportunities throughout the practice.

Requirements

  • Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) certification
  • Active Arizona license or eligibility for Arizona licensure
  • Current national certification appropriate to specialty
  • Ability to practice in neonatal intensive care settings
  • Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

  • New graduate NNPs are encouraged to apply
  • Candidates with limited neonatal experience are welcome
  • Prior NICU experience preferred but not required
  • Experience working in Level III NICU environments is beneficial
  • Interest in quality improvement and clinical excellence

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced neonatal care in Level II and Level III NICU settings
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage neonatal patients utilizing evidence-based practices
  • Collaborate closely with Neonatologists, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Participate in daily patient management and care planning
  • Exercise autonomous clinical judgment within scope of practice
  • Support implementation and development of clinical protocols and best practices
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and outcome-focused projects
  • Assist with program development and policy implementation efforts
  • Educate patients' families regarding treatment plans and care expectations
  • Mentor and support new and existing clinical staff
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Engage in continuing education and professional development activities
