About The Position

UMass Memorial Health, the leading health and wellness system in Central Massachusetts, is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing Metabolic Weight Loss team at UMass Memorial Medical Center. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a collaborative, supportive team providing comprehensive obesity care to adolescent and adult patients ages 12 and older. This is a mixed adolescent and adult practice, and we are specifically seeking an APP with clinical experience caring for both adolescents (age 12+) and adults affected by obesity. The APP will work alongside three physicians, an obesity medicine fellow, and two other APPs in a team-based environment focused on evidence-based, compassionate, and longitudinal care. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
Current NP or PA certification
Eligibility for Massachusetts licensure
Clinical experience in a medical, endocrinology, or obesity medicine practice
Experience caring for both adolescents age 12 and older and adults
Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

Provide obesity medicine care to patients ages 12 and older, including both adolescents and adults.
Evaluate and manage patients affected by obesity through individualized, evidence-based treatment plans and longitudinal follow-up.
Work alongside physicians, an obesity medicine fellow, and other APPs in a team-based environment.
Contribute to the continued development of metabolic and obesity medicine services.
