About The Position

Mass General Brigham Medical Group Northern Massachusetts, Inc. is seeking a full-time (40-hour) Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their Internal Medicine team. The position involves 36 hours of direct patient care and 4 hours of administrative time weekly, with a goal to build and maintain a patient panel of at least 300 patients. Once this panel size is achieved, the schedule will transition to 32 hours of direct patient care and 8 hours of administrative time per week. The practice is located in Danvers, MA, and provides comprehensive adult primary care services, including preventive care, routine health screenings, and annual physical examinations. The office operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexible scheduling options available. This role offers the opportunity to practice autonomously within a collaborative and supportive team environment, where insights and ideas are valued for driving process improvement and enhancing patient care.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree Nursing required
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse [APRN-NP - State License] - Generic - HR Only required
  • A minimum of three years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a primary care setting is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct care, counseling, and education to a designated patient population in ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural settings.
  • Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
  • Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
  • Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on the outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings.
  • Consistently provides high-quality and timely documentation, including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Performs bedside procedures as are appropriate to the patient population.
  • Orders medications and writes prescriptions in accordance with organizational and regulatory policies and procedures.
