About The Position

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our inpatient care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients. We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to independently care for the hospitalized patients at University Hospital and/or East Madison Hospital. You will work with patients with acute and chronic disease, perform assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, prevention, care coordination including multidisciplinary care rounds, and management of acute and chronic conditions. You will also perform consultative services.

Requirements

  • State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure
  • Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice (for Nurse Practitioner)
  • Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice (for Nurse Practitioner)
  • Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice (for Physician Assistant)
  • Active PA board certification (for Physician Assistant)
  • Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire
  • Active license or eligibility to obtain active licensure in state of practice. This may include licensing in Wisconsin and other state(s) of practice.

Nice To Haves

  • Adult/Gerontology Acute Care or Adult/Gerontology Primary Care with clinical experience in the hospital or previous ICU experience as Nurse or Nurse Practitioner (for Nurse Practitioner)

Responsibilities
