Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Hematology/Oncology
About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens position for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner specializing in Hematology/Oncology at a hospital in Minneapolis, MN. The role involves providing inpatient care for patients of all ages with benign and malignant hematology conditions. The coverage period is from September 14, 2026, to December 14, 2026. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no on-call or weekend responsibilities. The department has 686 beds, and the EMR system used is EPIC. Specialty backup is available from APPs on the inpatient side. Hospital privileges are required, and temporary privileges are available, with a credentialing timeline of 60-90 days.
Requirements
- Active MN license required; Universal License (IMLC) accepted
- Board Certified PA or NP
- BLS, ACLS certifications
- Experience in benign and malignant hematology required
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient hematology/oncology care to patients of all ages
- Manage benign and malignant hematology conditions
- Work day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8a – 4:30p
- Collaborate with attending physicians and APPs on the inpatient service
