About The Position

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician-led, 650+ provider multispecialty group seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant committed to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care in a Family Practice setting. This role involves direct management of patients, including but not limited to, school and sports physicals, and chronic disease management. The provider will ensure compliance with standards of care and practice, and request timely consultation or referral with appropriate physicians, clinics, or other health resources as indicated. Additionally, the Family Practice provider has the opportunity to provide quality care for specific acute concerns through MyChart, a telehealth program created at Saint Alphonsus to reach patients in their homes via smartphone, tablet, or PC. The qualified candidate will exude passion about health issues and demonstrate evidence of comprehensive assessment skills, expert clinical skills, and problem-solving abilities. SAMG utilizes EPIC electronic health record (HER) Ambulatory EMR in its clinics, thus experience with HER is desirable.

Requirements

  • Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner medical license in Oregon.
  • Valid controlled substance registration with Oregon Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
  • A strong medical background and a desire to provide care to a growing multi-specialty medical group.
  • Obtain an Idaho medical licensure to maintain and strengthen the Health System’s general internal program across all communities we serve.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with HER (EPIC electronic health record is desirable).

Responsibilities

  • Direct management of the patient including but not limited to, the following exams, procedures, and services: school and sports physicals, chronic disease management, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the medical treatment facility.
  • Request timely consultation or referral with appropriate physicians, clinics, or other health resources as indicated.
  • Provide quality care for specific acute concerns through an innovative program called MyChart, a telehealth program created at Saint Alphonsus to reach patients in their homes via smartphone, tablet or PC.
  • Answer patient phone calls on a rotation basis.
