About The Position
Empatia Palliative Care is looking for a PRN Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Denver, CO. The Nurse Practitioner for our palliative care program facilitates palliative care for Empatia Palliative Care patients, ensuring a comprehensive, individualized treatment plan, while demonstrating excellent clinical skills and ethical, relevant judgment. Provides diagnosis, treatment, consultation, and follow-up under the direction of the Palliative Medical Director (if required under State law).
Requirements
- NP Licensure - Colorado
- DEA Licensure - with experience writing orders, prescriptions
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Minimum two years of Nurse Practitioner clinical experience.
- Ability to work autonomously in an advanced practice role.
- Current RN license or equivalent as required by state law.
- Active and Unrestricted Nurse Practitioner certification/license without board actions
- Collaborative agreement with supervising physician from the Professional Services Corporation.
- Part B Provider certification.
- Federal DEA license; state DEA license if applicable.
- Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
- Fluent competence in computer and smartphone navigation.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Reliable transportation required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in home care setting a plus
- Specialty in Family or Adult Medicine preferred.
- Experience with value-based care models and Part B billing preferred.
- ACHPN certification preferred.
