About The Position

The Advance Practice Registered Nurse- Clinical Specialty provides an advanced level of care in collaboration with specialty physicians and other members of the health care team to a specific patient population. The role maintains an advanced knowledge base and skill in the assessment and treatment of disease and management of health/illness, where the Clinical Specialty is a preferred treatment resource for patients. The position may perform specific diagnostic and/or interventional procedures under the supervision of a physician.

Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
• Maintain a current license as a registered professional nurse in Missouri.
• Graduate from and hold certification for a Nurse Practitioner program; maintain active certification.
• Certification in the specialty as approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing for Advanced Practice may be required.
• Hold a current Collaborative Practice Arrangement with the organization as a provider.
• Current BCLS verification.
• Demonstrated clinical expertise in the area of specialty practice.
• Demonstrated leadership ability.
• 3–5 years of clinical experience.
• Current ACLS, maintained in a current and active state for continued employment when required by the department.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced-level care in collaboration with specialty physicians and other members of the health care team for a specific patient population.
• Assess and treat disease and manage health and illness within the clinical specialty.
• Perform specific diagnostic and/or interventional procedures under physician supervision, as applicable.
