About The Position

BestMed is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide occupational medicine services in a clinic care setting. The provider functions as an independent healthcare provider while working collaboratively within a healthcare team. The position offers a weekday schedule, Monday through Thursday, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Compensation is based on experience and skills and falls within an established range.

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license in the state, or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to obtain DEA licensure.
• Knowledge of treatment and drug interactions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational medicine services.
• Evaluate patients through physical examinations to determine their medical conditions, establish diagnoses, and develop proposed treatment plans, based on medical training and/or specialty.
• Perform clinical procedures that are within the practitioner’s scope and skill and are economically feasible.
• Communicate diagnoses and treatment goals to patients.
• Maintain accurate, complete, concise, and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Medical Director.
