About The Position

Express Care MaineGeneral Medical Center, central Maine's premier integrated health delivery system has express care clinics located in Augusta, Waterville and Gardiner offering extended weekday and weekend hours. The Waterville team is currently seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate passionate about providing quality, compassionate health care to join them. This person will report to the Medical Director of Express Care and be supported by primary care physicians, medical assistants, and nursing staff.

Requirements

• Maine NP or PA License
• Maine DEA
• Strong communication and customer service skills required
• Word processing, EMR and email use required
• Must be a strong collaborator with clinical and case management skills
• Physician Associate (PA) - State of Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine

Nice To Haves

• Two years' experience as a NP or PA in an emergency department, urgent care or primary care setting is preferred, but not required.
• ACLS and PALS, preferred
• Experience in telehealth is helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive healthcare services to patients of a specific population served based on the norms for specialty.
• Willingness to travel to other clinic locations, if coverage is needed
