About The Position

UPMC-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking experienced Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners to join its urgent care team in the greater Pittsburgh area and other locations across Pennsylvania and West Virginia. In partnership with UPMC Health System, the organization operates urgent care centers throughout the region. Clinicians provide care for a wide variety of concerns in a collaborative setting designed to support efficient, safe, and personal patient experiences. Centers use an integrated EPIC electronic medical record, point-of-care testing, and on-site X-ray. Each team member has a primary home center and may work at nearby secondary centers. The role includes weekend shifts and limited on-call availability; scheduling flexibility for vacations and wellness days is offered Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• Physician Assistants must have a master’s degree and NCCPA certification.
• Nurse Practitioners must have a master’s degree and ANCC or AANP certification.
• At least 1 year of full-time Emergency Medicine experience, or 2 years of Urgent Care experience; 2 years of Family Medicine experience will be considered.
• Comfort with minor procedures such as sutures, casts, and splints.
• Experience treating patients of all ages in an acute care setting.
• Ability to provide preliminary reads on EKGs and X-rays.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with on-site Radiologic Technologists and Medical Assistants as a clinical team leader.
• Share experience and training with other clinicians and staff.
• Participate in weekend shifts and limited on-call availability.
