About The Position

We are looking for a part-time Nurse Practitioner to support medical and safety efforts onsite at a client location in Berkeley, CA. Schedule: Tuesday and Thursday 7:00am - 5:30pm. This role involves providing a range of medical services including occupational health, injury treatment, and clinic management, while maintaining strong client relationships and adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies.

Requirements

Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in California
Must have unrestricted DEA license.
Current ACLS/BLS certifications.
A minimum of 3 years advanced practice experience
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality.
The ability to make independent decisions in accordance with company policy and procedures.
Take initiative on issues that arise daily.
Able to manage multiple priorities.
Must have the ability to maintain a professional approach with others in job-demanding, multitasking and/or project support situations.
Competent in the Windows operating system environment, Adobe Professional, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Teams) and learn other software (example: SAP, Cority, etc.) as needed.

Nice To Haves

Prior occupational medicine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform Power Industrial Vehicle examinations in accordance with site requirements
Perform Hazmat physicals in accordance with OSHA regulatory requirements
Provide return-to-work clearances and adjust or modify return-to-work restrictions to ensure the employee can safely perform job duties
Provides first-aid, medical treatment and appropriate follow-up to occupationally ill/injured workers consistent with appropriate Workers’ Compensation standards and laws.
Provides first-aid or minimal incidental care and treatment and appropriate follow-up for non-occupational conditions consistent with appropriate standards for an employer on-site clinic and laws.
Assists onsite RN in performing regulatory testing as needed.
Performs effective case management follow-up for injuries/illness and absences.
Provides counseling to employees on employment risk reduction initiatives as needed.
Maintains frequent communication with Consulting Medical Director and WorkCare Clinic manager and Program Manager-Onsite Services regarding all clinic issues and client requests.
Maintains employee health records and databases.
Computer data entry of all employee demographic and health information.
Responsibly handles and guards Protected Health Information.
Follows all applicable HIPAA laws, regulations, and guidelines.
Develops and maintains good relationships with client management, medical and safety personnel, co-workers and WorkCare supervisors and managers.
Communicates with appropriate client management frequently.
Provides timely, accurate reporting as dictated by client, WorkCare and by law.
Perform additional duties and assume additional responsibilities as identified by manager for the efficient operation of WorkCare.
