About The Position
The Cardiac & Vascular Institute (TCAVI) is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing cardiology team in Gainesville, Florida. This role offers a blend of outpatient clinic care and inpatient cardiovascular medicine, providing exposure to a wide range of cardiovascular conditions and treatment plans. Providers work closely with experienced cardiologists and advanced practice providers in a collaborative environment that emphasizes mentorship, professional development, and high-quality patient care. Requirements
- Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Active Florida license or ability to obtain prior to start
- Strong interest in cardiovascular medicine
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to providing patient-centered care
Nice To Haves
- Cardiology or acute care experience preferred but not required
- New Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant graduates are encouraged to apply
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions in both outpatient and inpatient settings
- Perform hospital rounding, cardiovascular consults, follow-up visits, and patient education
- Order and interpret diagnostic testing, including EKGs, laboratory studies, imaging, and stress testing
- Develop treatment plans in collaboration with supervising cardiologists
- Coordinate care with physicians, nursing staff, and referring providers
- Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
