About The Position

Senior PsychCare (SPC) is a rapidly growing behavioral health organization in Texas and surrounding states, seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their mission-driven mental health team. The role involves working in a supportive, team-based environment with clinical support from psychiatrists, focusing on providing care to residents in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. SPC offers collaborative behavioral health services, emphasizing continuity of care with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, NPs, PAs, psychologists, and therapists. Their goal is to ensure patients receive comprehensive and compassionate services for an improved quality of life.

Requirements

• Licensed NP or PA in the state of Texas
• Psychiatric/mental health experience required
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be comfortable traveling locally
• Adaptive, flexible, and committed to team-based care

Nice To Haves

• Experience with geriatric populations strongly preferred
• Spanish bilingual is a plus

Responsibilities

• Conduct cognitive and emotional assessments to set/manage treatment plans
• Manage psychotropic medication and gradual dose reductions
• Collaborate with nursing home staff and SPC’s behavioral health team
• Participate in treatment team meetings (in-person and virtual)
• Deliver care both in-person and via telehealth when appropriate
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in our EHR system
