This role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care to residents in skilled nursing facilities, including daily rounding, prescribing medications, addressing acute issues, and communicating with facility staff. We utilize an EHR designed for efficient workflows, including voice dictation and AI scribe, with access to UpToDate for clinical guidance.
Requirements
- Active U.S. license
- Board-certified by ANCC, AANPCB, PNCB, or AACN (for Nurse Practitioners), or by NCCPA (for Physician Assistants)
- Qualified specialties include, but are not limited to, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, General Practice, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Geriatric Medicine.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to residents in skilled nursing facilities
- Conduct daily rounding
- Prescribe medications/treatment plans
- Address acute/emergent issues
- Communicate with facility nursing staff via phone or secure messaging as needed
- Maintain reliable on-site attendance for scheduled shifts
- Ensure compliance with clinical standards, facility policies, and regulatory requirements
