About The Position

Join the Optum Onsites team! We deliver employer-based primary care that focuses on whole-person health, not occupational health services. This role is primarily based in Waupaca, with occasional coverage in Marinette, supporting care teams during PTO and continuing education. Schedules are thoughtfully planned to reduce excessive travel and avoid regular back-and-forth between Waupaca and Marinette and keep your days manageable. Travel support is provided as needed. It is a great fit for a confident, independent NP or PA who enjoys variety and is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Requirements

• Certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the ANCC/AANP or Certified Physician Assistant through the NCCPA with Full Practice Authority (FPA)
• Active DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) registration
• Current CPR certification
• 2+ years of clinical experience working as a Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant providing services in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, ambulatory, emergency and/or urgent care setting(s)
• Experience using computers for professional communication
• Experience using Electronic Health Record systems for medical documentation
• Experience seeing patients of all ages, including children and adolescents
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between Waupaca and Marinette based on business needs

Nice To Haves

• Experience using Athena EMR for medical documentation
• Proven ability to work autonomously in a clinical setting

• Deliver the highest quality Primary Care services including:
• Wellness and Preventative Physical Exams
• Acute care of minor illness and injuries
• Chronic Disease Management and Longitudinal care
• Minor procedures (suturing, splinting, incision/drainage, etc.)
• Lifestyle and well-being counseling
• Medical management of behavioral health conditions
