About The Position

Esse Health is seeking compassionate Advanced Practice Providers (NP/PA) to join their Southside Family Practice. This part-time opening offers the opportunity to focus on delivering high-quality care in a supportive, physician-led environment. The schedule involves 16-30 hours per week, with flexible day choices and the option for full or half days. While no nights or holidays are scheduled, the position does share in call responsibilities, typically one night per week and every sixth weekend. This outpatient-focused clinical practice emphasizes developing 1:1 relationships with patients and staff, providing comprehensive primary care, diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions, and developing treatment plans in collaboration with a physician partner. The role also focuses on preventive care, wellness, patient education, accurate electronic health record documentation (NextGen), care coordination, and participation in quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Master’s Degree of Science in Nursing or Physician Assistant-Master’s Degree
Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant licensure in Missouri (or eligibility)
Certified Physician Assistant or Certified Nurse Practitioner (or eligibility)
Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
Commitment to patient-centered, team-based care
Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with physicians

Nice To Haves

1 - 2 years + of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant experience
Experience working with a geriatric patient population

Responsibilities

Develop a 1:1 relationship with patients and clinical staff members
Provide comprehensive primary care services to adult patients
Conduct patient evaluations, physical exams, and diagnostic assessments
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions
Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physician partner
Emphasize preventive care, wellness, and patient education
Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (NextGen)
Coordinate care with specialists and other members of the healthcare team
Participate in quality improvement and care coordination initiatives
Share in call responsibilities, typically one night per week and about every sixth weekend
