About The Position

USA Health Providence is seeking motivated Advanced Practice Providers (Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants) to join their Glycare team, specializing in inpatient diabetes and glycemic management. Glycare partners with hospitals to provide a standardized, evidence-based consultative model for improving glycemic outcomes, reducing complications, and supporting frontline care teams. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop specialized skills in a collaborative, structured environment with predictable daytime rounding schedules and greater flexibility than traditional roles. Providers will work closely with hospitalists, nursing teams, pharmacy, dietitians, and endocrinology support teams to deliver coordinated inpatient care. The position involves protocol-driven care, structured onboarding, training, and mentorship, making it suitable for both new graduates with relevant clinical training and experienced APPs.

Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted AL NP or PA License
  • NP certification as FNP, AGNP, or ACNP or PA-C certification
  • EMR proficiency required
  • Recent Inpatient experience required
  • Minimum one-year commitment required
  • Strong new graduates with inpatient clinical training are also encouraged to apply

Nice To Haves

  • Prior inpatient hospitalist experience
  • Outpatient diabetes management experience
  • New graduates with diabetes-focused clinical rotations

Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient diabetes and glycemic management consultations
  • Manage adult hospitalized patients on Med-Surg and Step-Down units
  • Adjust insulin and diabetes therapies using evidence-based protocols
  • Collaborate with hospitalists, nursing, pharmacy, and acute care teams
  • Document directly within the hospital EMR
  • Practice within a highly collaborative inpatient consultative model
