About The Position

MyMichigan Urgent Care Alpena is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a fast-paced urgent care setting. The facility operates with coverage hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends. This modern, fully equipped facility includes onsite x-ray, integrated EMR (EPIC), and an experienced care team committed to excellent patient care. While urgent care experience is preferred, it is not required. DOT certification is also preferred, with on-the-job training available for certification.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• AHA approved BLS certification.
• Active State of Michigan license and CSL or eligible to apply.

Nice To Haves

• Urgent care experience.
• DOT certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide walk-in service on a first come, first serve basis and manage self-scheduled appointments.
• Treat patients of all ages and conditions in a friendly environment.
• Provide acute care.
• See patients for occupational health related screenings, physicals, and work-related injuries.
