About The Position

Senior PsychCare (SPC) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their mission-driven mental health team. This role involves working in a supportive, team-based environment with flexibility and clinical support from psychiatrists. The position focuses on providing behavioral health services to residents in long-term care facilities, emphasizing continuity of care and compassionate services. SPC's multidisciplinary teams include psychiatrists, psychiatric NPs, PAs, psychologists, and licensed clinical social workers/counselors/therapists.

Requirements

• Licensed NP or PA in the state of Texas
• Psychiatric/mental health experience required
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be comfortable traveling locally
• Adaptive, flexible, and committed to team-based care

Nice To Haves

• Experience with geriatric populations strongly preferred
• Spanish bilingual is a plus

Responsibilities

• Conduct cognitive and emotional assessments to set/manage treatment plans
• Manage psychotropic medication and gradual dose reductions
• Collaborate with nursing home staff and SPC’s behavioral health team
• Participate in treatment team meetings (in-person and virtual)
• Deliver care both in-person and via telehealth when appropriate
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in our EHR system
