About The Position
HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their premier Cardiothoracic Surgery practice in Gainesville, Florida. This role involves working with an experienced team of cardiothoracic surgeons and APPs to care for perioperative cardiothoracic surgery patients. The position offers the opportunity to provide direct support to physicians in the outpatient clinic, manage intermediate care of cardiothoracic surgery patients, and handle consultations, surgery scheduling, and other outpatient clinical responsibilities. The successful candidate will independently examine, diagnose, order diagnostic studies, and provide treatment for patients in the outpatient clinic setting.

Responsibilities
- Work with an experienced team of cardiothoracic surgeons and APPs caring for perioperative cardiothoracic surgery patients
- Provide right hand support to the physicians in the outpatient clinic
- Management of intermediate care of cardiothoracic surgery patients
- Consultations, surgery scheduling and outpatient clinical responsibilities
- Independently examines, diagnoses, orders diagnostic studies and treatment for patients in the outpatient clinic setting
