About The Position

Memorial Hermann - GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking experienced Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners to join their team. This full-time position offers a $7,500 sign-on bonus and involves treating both adult and pediatric patients in urgent care settings. The role requires providing a wide range of clinical services for acute episodic conditions, recognizing serious conditions, and directing patients to the emergency room when necessary. The company emphasizes delivering an unparalleled patient experience in state-of-the-art, patient-friendly centers equipped with imaging and labs. Advanced Practitioners will have autonomy with mentoring and support available.

Requirements

• 2 or more years of Full-Time experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting required.
• Experience treating both pediatric and adult patient populations.
• Comfortable with minor procedures (sutures, splints, etc.), reading EKGs and X-rays.
• Bachelor’s Degree required for Physician Assistants.
• Master’s Degree required for Nurse Practitioners.
• National Certifications.
• Active state medical licensure.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records.
• Ability to be attentive with strong listening skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains and minor infections.
• Utilize excellent assessment skills to recognize more serious conditions and direct patients to the emergency room for advanced care when necessary.
• Deliver an unparalleled patient experience.
• Treat both adult and pediatric patient populations.
• Perform minor procedures (sutures, splints, etc.).
• Read EKGs and X-rays.
